b) Media representation – shaping the narrative by Chaplain Kaiser Aslam

This session examines the role of media in influencing perceptions of Muslims in America, particularly in light of current global events. It emphasizes the Islamic perspective on responding to such situations and discusses how Muslims can use media platforms to share their stories, correct misconceptions, and promote a more authentic representation of their communities.

b) Islamic Principles of Civic Responsibility in Political Contexts by Sr. Sumara Khan

This session examines the intersection of Islamic faith and civic duty, emphasizing the ethical and moral responsibilities of Muslims in promoting justice and equity within society. Drawing on key teachings from the Sunnah, it explores how Islamic principles guide political engagement and community service, providing a framework for just and impactful civic actions.

c) Modern Strategies for Dawah and Political Advocacy by Chaplain Khalid Latif

This session provides practical guidance for Muslims to engage effectively in dawah and political activism in contemporary contexts. By leveraging modern tools like social media and community organizing, it showcases strategies for amplifying Muslim voices, advocating for social justice, and aligning civic initiatives with Islamic values to create meaningful societal impact

Attendees will make their way to the prayer area, pray, then come back to the event to eat some delicious food.
